This 2year old colt is by Snitzel a leading first  season sire this year having already sired eleven individual winners.These include Group 2 Silver Slipper winner and Golden Slipper runner Chance Bye winner of 3 of her first four starts and stakes in excess of $500,000. Also stakes placed Jypsiere and other Metro winners include Intertidal, One More Grand, Top Drop and Sheila’s Star.

Snitzel currently sits a second on the First Season's Sires list with winners of over $1 million.

Snitzel (a son of Redoute’s Choice) won over $1 million in a great career with the highlight being a win as a three year old in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate. Altogether he won 7 races (6 at Group or listed level) including 4 as a two year old.

The colt’s dam by Rustic Amber won five races and is a daughter of a great producing mare in Stella Matutina dam of black type winners Aimbury and Dallaeni and Group 3 runner up Mootiara and a number of other multiple metro winners.

This flashy chestnut colt will be trained at Morphettville by Jon O’Connor and he is nominated for the Magic Millions, Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper. He is fully SABOIS qualified. Please note while we refer to the horse as a colt it is likely that we will  geld him in the future.

AKHADAN is a  bread and butter South Australian based sire. He has produced Group winners ROSDEN,ALMOST NEVER, MERLOT NOW, JIM'S PARTY,SUBTLE IRONY and of course ARINOS who is part owned by Michelle and Richard. ARINOS is now the winner of more than$280,000 and recently deadheated for second in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate.

In addition AKHADAN has black type earners such as TERANGO, IMACRUISER (promising two year old sold to Hong Kong), REDADAN and LADY AVACAN as well as strong winners such as DOLLY DEVA, KENNY KID and DANCING LASS.

His dam LITHIASIS is by MILITARY PLUME being related to winners such as MILITARY BAY and YOUNG SCARLET and comes from a family that has produced black type winners such as STAR PYRAMUL, VARIKOS and STAR OF TRISTAM, also by MILITARY PLUME. STAR PYRAMUL is of course the sire (from limited opportunities) of ironhorse ROYAL IDA. 

The Gelding has just been broken in and will be trained by David Jolly at Goolwa. The gelding is fully paid up for SABIS and he is currently spelling after a promising initial preparation.

BERTOLINI was based in New Zealand, he is by DANZIG (the sire of the mighty DANEHILL) and has sired stakes winners in Europe and Australasia with his best in the southern hemisphere being SOLVINI. Australian winners include TRUSTUS, FUTURE'S DREAM and OIGLES from a handful of starters.This gelding’s grand dam is Ambala winner of 12 races including the Goodwood Hcp (Group 1) she is the dam of Ambika and the unraced dam NAGINA is by Rory’s Jester.

This gelding is a striking chestnut and  is SABIS qualified. He has been named Red Centurion.

Red Centurion has now had six starts for one win and has showed significant improvement in his last two races. He has now gone for a well earned spell.

He is trained by Richard Jolly at Morphettville, Richard will retain a share in this gelding as will Sanguine Racing Services.
