The trainers currently preparing Sanguine horses are David Jolly based at Goolwa and Jon O'Connor at Morphettville. Both trainers have been training for some years, have trained quality horses and have of a long and distinguished family background in horse racing in SA David's stars include Arinos (who is part owned by Sanguine manager Richard Stafford), Tramuntana, Kisrak, Tulavar and Shekinaar. Jon was born in Victoria and did not have a racing background in his family. He became an apprentice to Ron MacDonald and then completed his time with Joe Hall here in Adelaide. Jon rode successfully here for a number of years before taking up training with his partner Kim Harrison. Jon has trained horses such as Blahnik, the recently resurgent Jest for Fun, The Long Road,Happy Banker, My Amici and Court Bell.
