More than Ready does it again!!

The Southern Halo stallion has sire his second Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic winner with Phelan Ready doing the job. This follows on from last years win by Augusta Proud, not of course   forgetting the Golden Slipper win by Sebring.

Like last year's race, this year's winner had a stack of South Australian connections.

He was ridden beautifully by SA born and bred jockey Jason Holder (who rode Arinos for two wins this time last year), Jason was apprenticed to Leon MacDonald (trainer of Augusta Proud).

Phelan Ready is out of a Belvic mare Nancy Eleanor who was bred and raced in SA and has just been repurchased by her original SA owners. She was a handy race mare winning over $100,000 and looks to be an extremely promising brood mare prospect. Blevic, her sire, stands at Kambula at Kadina and enjoys continued success as a Sire and is beginning to emerge as a strong broodmare sire prospect.

Further success for More Than Ready increases the interest in Halo Homewrecker and the filly we are syndicating by him. Halo Homewrecker, like More Than Ready, is by Southern Halo out of a granddaugther to Mr Prospector, clearly this line works superbly in Australia. Our filly out of Gossip Maid comes from another successful broodmare sire in Snippets.
