After a frustrating 2009 Arinos gave strong indications that he was on the way back with a solid third behind Keano at Flemington on Saturday 19/12/09.

He was ridden closer to the solid pace set by Alexander Beetle than we would have liked, but jockey Jarrod Fry was perhaps a victim of circumstances when blocked for an outside run mid race. Arinos ground on and finished 0.3 of a length from the winner.

This was a pleasing result after his somewhat disappointing runs mid year. It may be that the virus that ruined our plans early in the year also affected the next preparation but it looks like the big fella is back in town now. Next test will be a listed race down the Flemington straight mid Jan.
