Balaklava Cup day August 31 saw a great result with Le Columbia and Von Radetzky running the quinella in race 2 of the day.

Le Columbia turned around some frustratingly poor form to storm down the outside to win by around a length. Sanguine owns a share of the Jon O'Connor trained son of California Dane and it was a great thrill to see him win at odds of around 70 to1.

Von Radetzky, our syndicated son of Snitzel, added icing to the cake by hanging on gamely for second having lead from the start. He showed great fight down the long Balaklava straight and indicated that a win can not be too far away.
